St Joseph's School, Morrinsville
One school that has been very active in the Amazon Adventure has sent in
these photos of the projects they've started as part of the Telecom Amazon Adventure.
St Joseph's School in Morrinville got into the adventure in a big way. Morrinsville
teacher, Pauline McLeod, worked to integrate the programme into all curriculum areas for
the school. Classes used it to help students develop their language and research skills,
and involvement also provided students with opportunities to practise all kinds of
technologies.
Class
activities included making their own Amazon rainforest, writing stories and poems, and
making cushions in the shape of their favourite Amazon animals.
